Comments like that are welcome anywhere, lol. I actually had a lot of doubts whether Remus' first reply was too much, but then the one thing you know he's being completely honest about is that he would never, ever have imagined she meant him, he was having a completely crap day, and he did really regret it immediately. Besides, we did need Tonks to get to the sober soul baring, as opposed to the tipsy one, or Part I might still be ongoing. ;)
I really want to make the acquaintance of sticky toffee pudding now -- those photos are evil. I'll have to content myself with a piece of rapidly-going-stale cake left over from my department's graduation reception on Sunday. Can you have sticky toffee pudding at all? Or is wheat one of your nemeses?
When you come visit England again, it's a promise that I'll treat you to one. They're actually a speciality that started in the Lake District - we thought we ought to send Remus to Ambleside for his mission, where I frequently holiday, and where picturesque postcards of the Lake etc. really are available. The puddings travel from the Lake District to be sold at my local supermarket, along with the complimentary cream, sauce and a million calories to go with it all.
I can manage about a mouthful, and live to tell the tale, but they are incredibly yummy. Mr Gilpin likes them served hot with vanilla ice cream... Let me know if I'm making you hungry!
the idea of a HBP fic, with Remus off with the pack but unable to get Tonks out of his head, started hijacking the proceedings. I've been wanting to do more with the HBP part of Kaleidoscope, anyway; I've even had an OC werewolf or two living in my brain who've been hoping for a chance to make their debuts, especially since I'll need them for my AU post-war fic later on...
Ooh, that's sold it to me already. I was thinking the slightly predictable romantic comedy route, but that's much more interesting. :)
