Thanks...

Many, many thanks to everyone for their good wishes and lovely messages for yesterday. I had a great day, great presents, crap weather and got all my stories/chapters/bits of stories put into a beautifully organised order by IT Husband, who muttered things under his breath about "Amateur hour" while doing it, in a no doubt really complimentary way.

I've started to read fics on [livejournal.com profile] metamorfic_moon and doing reviews, some excellent ones, but would really like to thank [livejournal.com profile] godricgal and [livejournal.com profile] mrstater for organising the Jumble so well. Though you both owe me a fortnight's housework which didn't get done. And shall I mention the ironing? LOL

Aw, we had fun doing it and are already picking our brains for the next thing.

And you know the solution is to get a house-elf and buy your husband no-iron clothes.

Or teach the cats to iron to take their minds off staring through the bathroom window and being scared of unmoving objects....

I've got to go and lock the garage shortly so I'll ask Ginger Whinger if she fancies a go with the iron, and see what her tail's doing ... ;)

He's got non-iron shirts, but he still creases them. I know, the mind boggles what he gets up to during all those meetings. ;)

When you're picking your brains, don't think "Let's get Gilpin to do two fics in a fortnight again." Because Up All Night will never get done, and that sort of thing happens very seldom, anyway. ;)

Boyfriend has non-iron shirts - or should I say allegedly non-iron shirts, because I don't think they crease any less than perfectly ordinary shirts.

When do we get to live in that 60s sci-fi world where everyone wears Spandex and we don't have to iron anything?

I'd quite like to have the return of the times when everyone went around in psychedelic track suits. Because you were so dazzled by the colours, you wouldn't notice the creases.

And I've asked Ginger about ironing. She said 'Meow.' Leo was more keen to shake paws, that cat is beyond cute.

Or grunge. I was a big fan of grunge.

Am trying to teach mine to shake paws. In between wondering what all their tail movements mean, obviously....

Tail up = Very Happy cat either saying hello or feed me, you stupid bugger.

Tail at medium level = I'm thinking or what's that mean then? or don't stroke me there, you stupid bugger.

Tail between legs = either you or the cat should run.

Of course, your problem is the crucial sentence that said kittens can give two signals at once, or confused ones, because they haven't quite worked the signals out yet.

Hmm. Now I know why I like horses. They're simpler. ;)

Eek! Happy Belated Birthday! :)

Thank you! And belated greetings are really nice because it seems like I'm getting a Birthday extension. :)

Lol, well then, I'm glad I commented, glad I could extend your birthday! :) Your welcome!

A belated icon offering...

I don't know if the sound of my squeeing has travelled the ocean but - thank you! It's brilliant and, by one of those very strange coincidences, I have one space still available in my icon collection.

I promise to give it plenty of use and tender loving care. ;)

Thanks again. :)

:) I'm glad you like it!

Erma Bombeck says: "Housework, if you do it right, will kill you." And: “My second favorite household chore is ironing. My first being hitting my head on the top bunk bed until I faint.”

Seems to me, the genius mods over at [livejournal.com profile] metamorfic_moon are doing their darndest to save us all from horrific fates. We should all be fervently thanking them. Again. ;)
