So, have I mentioned my holiday recently?:D

The PHC (Pre Holiday Crap) is going quite well, so I'm hoping it's going to be a good one. Mr. Gilpin came home from work and went straight to bed as he feels atrocious, the toilet is currently flushing like Niagra Falls (I know that's probably good in a loo, but it seems increasingly reluctant to stop), a strange cat attempted for the second time to break in through the cat flap today, and I haven't packed a thing yet or wrapped a birthday present for the soon-to-be birthday boy. Oh, and there's been mention of snow, early next week in parts of Britain, and particularly in the Lake District, lol.

Anyway, I'm ignoring all this because all will be well. Unlike in that book with the daft epilogue.

And I've been writing drabbles or as I like to call them, fics that were once meant to be drabbles. I'm hoping to get a couple more posted before I disappear for my snow week but this was the first done and it mentions Christmas, so I sort of feel I should get it posted before March...

I hope everyone who had a bank holiday this weekend enjoyed it - we did, and I'd heartily recommend seeing The Bourne Ultimatum and Matt Damon, if you get the chance. (Though don't sit too close to the front or you might get sea sick;)) And if your bank holiday (labour day, is it?) is still to come, then I hope it's a good one.

I've pulled myself, and my annoying back, together enough to type up all those hand written notes and form a fic at long last for the rt_challenge if you fancy giving it a go. (Though I ignored most of the notes in the end, because I am nothing if not perverse it seems. Or just like making more work for myself). I am shamefully behind on reading fics, even by my standards of behindness, but tomorrow has been designated Official Catching Up Day, so we'll see how that goes. Or not.

As you'll see, this is dedicated to two of my closest LJ friends, and many thanks to them for the request as Ron is such fun, as well as very interesting to write, and I still haven't quite got my head in gear at the DH stuff. And I enjoyed making my brain ache, thinking about how to get round certain problems with him being the narrator.

Author's Note: godricgal and mrstater asked if I’d write a kind of sequel to a R/T fic I once wrote where part of it was written from Ron’s POV. For reasons only they know, this was the scene they wanted (I never did ask why...) It’s therefore dedicated to them and I just hope it’s not a let down after a long wait for it. Any spoken dialogue, up to a certain point which you’ll all recognise, is JKR’s, not mine, and I have tried to keep it to the barest minimum because of that, and because I’m sure you can all quote it backwards, lol. Hopefully, Ron’s viewpoint is very different to that Harry person’s, and feedback is always much appreciated. :)
