Firstly, wildmagelet has posted an R/T fic she wrote for myself and ladybracknell as we tripped her up in the Stump The Writer Meme. And I'm very glad she did because it's absolutely lovely and anyone who hasn't read it can do so here: Midnight in the House of Good and Evil.

Secondly, I myself have written a fic for her, which she requested for winning the grand_national fic sweepstake. Details as below if you fancy giving it a go but I'm grateful to her as writing it certainly took my mind off craptastic backs and suchlike. And I haven't forgotten about the other fics I owe, not least the one for the saintlike-in-patience kileaiya.

Rating & Warnings: PG-13 for innuendo, swearing and sexual references. Occasionally all three in the same sentence. ;)
Word Count: 9959
Summary: Sometimes all it takes is a visit from a passing Dragon Keeper to bring to the surface things that were so well hidden people didn't even know they were there. Remus and Tonks, plus assorted friends. OotP.
Author's Note: For wildmagelet whose horse, Silver Birch, won the 2007 Grand National, and was therefore the winner of the grand_national fic sweepstake. Not content with that, I think she got the fifth home as well. The request was for a romantic R/T fic with a bit (I may have misread that slightly, as "quite a bit";)) of angst, an appearance by Charlie Weasley, and Jealous!Remus. So instead she's got this. I really do hope you enjoy it, Laura, because I had a blast writing it and should probably be thanking you. :)

One Cool Cookie

Nearly all the winner's fics are up at the site now and I'm looking forward to reading them. So that's even more R/T fic, and PoA Remus as well, I've noticed, if you want some new reading.

And, thirdly, just to tie in with the new R/T fic theme, and just in case you missed it, metamorfic_moon have announced a Fic Showdown where you get a chance to write that fic you've always been meaning to (I wanted that to read "The ten fics you guiltily owe everyone", purely for me, but the other mods wouldn't let me), or the one you anticipate might be in line with things we'll see in Deathly Hallows. Or might not! There's also a Showdown for artists, which I'm wondering about entering myself, even though I can only draw (badly) horses and flowers. Which could possibly be considered abstract art? But, seriously, if you haven't seen it all, and want to mosey on over for a look, then please do...

Dude, I totally love this fic, particularly the bluebells! Favourite line has to be... oh man I don't know, I just adore the whole thing. Probably "“Realise you’re out for dinner with one man and in love with another?”...“Can I have your steak if you’re going to go?” he says hopefully." I Love It! Am a big big fan. Thanks very much - I'm glad you liked it! It was one of the most fun fics I've written, thanks entirely to wildmagelet's request that it include Charlie and Jealous!Remus. I'm afraid both Remus and I enjoyed ourselves far too much giving potential rivals icy cold showers and I do worry why he was reading the Encyclopaedia of Toadstools quite so avidly at one point. It's just as well Charlie realised he had no chance when he did and wisely settled for the steak instead of the girl.

Bluebells apparently mean everlasting love according to ladybracknell, an idea she kindly let me use as it seemed appropriate for R/T, and I wanted something out of the ordinary for Tonks' favourite flower which only Remus would know about. And I like bluebells myself; there are woods near where I live which are a glorious carpet of them in the spring.
