The Glass Slipper extended version

Have posted the extended version of The Glass Slipper, which has only taken me nearly, ahem, two months after it first made an appearance. If I'd hung on a bit longer, I could have pretended it was this year's Christmas fic. The link takes you to gilpins_tales, which I've started as a fic journal, mainly to keep all the fics in one place if anyone's interested in them, and also because I had lots of fun playing with all the pretty colours on a new LJ. I'm still doing a few things to it, but please nose around if you want to as I'd appreciate knowing if things are easy to find. And if the colours are pretty, lol.

Title: The Glass Slipper
Genre: Romance, humour
Rating & Warnings: PG-13 for mild swearing and not quite so mild innuendo.
Word Count: 7415
Summary: Cinderella shall go to the ball. And Remus is going with her... Christmas, OotP.
Author’s Note: The original for this was written for the metamorfic_moon Winter Wonderland Advent and can be found here. There was a word limit of 5000 there and I had to cut the story quite a bit to make it, particularly in the second half. This version restores one scene I regretted having to leave out, adds to several more, and probably makes the overall story a little darker - like all fairy tales? It also increases the daftness factor, so possibly I should have left well alone! Anyone brave enough to read it again and give feedback will be much appreciated. :)

So that's one fic down and the three I've got underway to go. Wonder if I can beat two months for the next one... ;)

I don't understand! It works for me, and I've just recruited mrstater as a guinea pig, and it works for her too...

I don't get it either. I think it might be something to do with my college's server because the error message is generated by them - it seems to be adding a random 80 into the URL whenever I try and access it, even when I type it in, and I can't stop it doing it. I've never had this problem with any other journal though so God knows why it's picked on yours!I'll have to try it on my home PC tonight or tomorrow and see if I can access it from there. How very annoying!!!

I'm thinking I've been very rude in the past about Lazy Bloke and this could be a case of personal revenge and sabotage? ;)

Joking apart, I hope it is the college's server and you can access it at home. No one else has said they've had any difficulty, but give me a yell if you can't. I don't want to end up with the world's most inaccessible journal, lol.

Tis a very lovely, well organized fic archive! Though it hasn't helped me any in being able to pick favorites of your fics for my own rec list. I might just have to link the whole List of Fics. ;)

I really don't know how people with lots of fics (mentioning no names;)) did all theirs as it seemed to take me long enough with my paltry few! But I'm glad you think it's organised and many thanks again for all the help. There was a STNG episode on late last night when I was clearing up, and something Data was analysing at great length with Geordi on the screen looked distinctly like LJ code to me! ;)

Well I did spend quite a while on it, lol. I've probably got some maintenance I should do on the tags and such, but I think the time would be better spent writing...

That would be a hilarious fanfic; Dada writing in his LJ when he's supposed to be...doing whatever he does.
