It was decided someone intelligent and capable should put all these questions together, and compile a meme we can all waste more of our precious lives answering. But instead you've got me, acting as secretary. So if there's a question you'd like to see included - an interesting one, a daft one, an incredibly nosey one, or just something you think would be fun to know about people - then please let me know. And if you have several questions, then even better. Feel free to sling them in my direction within the next week or so, and I'll compile a list. Remember - this is worth doing, because we all love wasting time doing them so very, very much!

Date: 2006-10-30 09:19 pm (UTC)Yes, you're an IT Genius. I've always said it. Although there was that time you kept telling me to track something, and the button didn't exist, and I went for an eye test... ;)

Date: 2006-10-30 09:50 pm (UTC)I'd also be interested in asking people how their fanfic differs from their original work.
I may be back with more when my brain's working a bit better ;).

Date: 2006-10-30 10:16 pm (UTC)I look forward to telling you why I've chosen post-coital DT as my current icon, LOL. Can we have an M-rated Meme?
Feel free to come back with more. I've thought of two as well, so it's not going to be a long meme at this rate. ;)
Did you enjoy Ramper's paso doble on Saturday? Emma Bunton and Craig's favourtism of her is beginning to get on my nerves. As is Bruno and Louisa. And poor Anton, I don't want him to go out.

Date: 2006-10-30 11:07 pm (UTC)Him being sexy and dominant certainly tickled my fancy. I think I did actually fan myself with my hand at one point. I think it was that see-through shirt. At this rate, I might actually have to watch the cricket next year....
I love Anton (isn't it cute the way he always wears a tie for training. What a gent.) - I feel very sorry for him, always getting stuck with the celebs who evidently aren't up to it, just because he's got a sense of humour. The judges do seem to be playing favourites much more this year - I quite miss the unrelenting barrage of criticism all contestants used to get without exception, to be honest.
Think we've got another question for that lenghty meme. Which dodgy TV show are you secretly addicted to, and why? lol.

Date: 2006-10-31 01:10 am (UTC)If you are, how long have you been in the Doctor Who fandom?
There you go, my two pathetic questions.

Date: 2006-10-31 01:41 am (UTC)I know these are really broad questions, but that means we get to waste more time writing and reading the answers! :)

Date: 2006-10-31 03:29 am (UTC)Weird, I was just thinking the other day that it would be fun to make up a meme. Hmm, how about these?
1) Do you let your own moral or religious beliefs filter into your stories?
2) Have you ever based a love scene off of a real-life encounter?
3) Have you ever tried something that you read in a love scene?
4) What's the longest amount of time spent researching background information for a story?
5) What's your favourite original character from your stories?
6) What's the most disgusting habit that you're willing to admit to?
7) Name one book that you've read at least five times.
8) Algebra or geometry?
9) Did you ever switch majors in college, and if so, how many times? (not sure how to word this for non-American meme-filler-outers... :P)
10) How many pieces of jewellery are you currently wearing and what are they?
11) Name a food that you hated as a child but love to eat now.
12) What did you want to be when you grew up?
13) What is the first nightmare you ever remember having?
14) When was the last time you read poetry? What was the poem?
15) Opera, yes or no?
Okay, I could bombard you with more, but I'll leave it at that for now. I love coming up with weird questions...

Date: 2006-10-31 03:08 pm (UTC)And thanks for all those questions, though I may not be thanking you for number 6 afterwards, LOL.

Date: 2006-10-31 04:02 pm (UTC)Besides, it was which one you would admit to, not your actual most disgusting habit, which I would be as unwilling as the next person to divulge. It's just interesting to seewhat people would say, knowing that the truth is worse. Hmm, you're right, it is an evil question.
I hope you have a lovely extended birthday - did you get anything nice for the first one?

Date: 2006-10-31 10:43 pm (UTC)Lots of lovely pressies, I was very spoilt. Black leather boots which I chose myself and my parents paid for, about eight books for which I've no room on any of the bookshelves, some clothes, lots of files and things for my ever expanding collection of stories, and vouchers, which I shall be spending as soon as I can.
Funniest was the gift from an eighty year old friend of my parents, who I call aunt as she's known me since I was about five. For the last ten years I've had a pair of slippers (I so rarely wear the things, but you just can't say, can you?), but this year I got ... a very lacey camisole and matching pair of knickers. She said she was sick of slippers, walked into the lingerie department, thought she'd certainly like to wear those, so bought them for me. Very nice they are too and, even better, the right size, LOL. Roll on Christmas!
